2006 - French Lick, IN.   French Lick casino opens.

 
November 5th
1996 - Tuesday

1938 - Reno, NV.   Harrah's Heart Tango Club opened at 2:00 p.m., at 242 North Virginia Street, in Reno. It was next door to Harold's Club, and a doorway connected the two, allowing Harold's Bar to serve Harrah's customers. When Harrah's lease expired in 1945, the property became part of Harold's Club.

1996 - Wednesday

1996 - Greenville, MS.   Lighthouse Point Casino opens.

 
November 7th
1996 - Thursday

1941 - Las Vegas, NV.   El Cortez Hotel & Casino opens at 600 East Fremont, downtown Las Vegas.

1995 - Las Vegas, NV.   The Landmark closed on August 8, 1990. At 5:35AM on November 7, 1995, the Landmark was demolished in seventeen seconds. The demolition was filmed and used in Mars Attacks! Today, the property which once housed the Landmark is a 2,000 space parking lot for the Las Vegas Convention Center. .

1965 - Reno, NV.   Tom's Card Room, a "local's joint" at 120 East Commercial Row, was licensed for poker.

1990 - Las Vegas, NV.   Vacation Village Hotel & Casino opens at 6711 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas Strip.

2006 - Hancock County, MS.   Silver Slipper Casino opens.
